Learn Your Way Around Analytics for iOS

Explore your data using the control bar at the bottom of the screen and a few simple gestures.

Home

The home screen, My Analytics Apps, is your customizable apps home. Each app has a clickable tile that gives you access to info and app actions.

Tap the tile to open the app’s browse screen and access the app’s assets. Or, tap Icon with three dots

on the tile to open the info/action panel. App actions can include Browse ( Browse app icon

), Run, Get Link, and Pin.

Customize your Analytics home by pinning your favorite and often used apps. Whether you pin apps on mobile or in Analytics on desktop, you’ll see the same pinned apps on your Analytics home.

Browse

Open Browse by tapping Browse magnifier icon

on the control bar at the bottom of the screen.

In the list, you can scroll through, filter, and open apps, dashboards, lenses, and datasets. If you’ve marked assets as “Favorite,” they have a yellow star, and a Favorites filter appears.

Tap the magnifier at the top () to enter search terms. Tap the toggle to sort the list between alphabetical () and most recently used () order.

Notice that each asset has a Icon with three dots . Tap it to open a panel where you can see information such as the asset’s dataset or which app it’s in. From the panel, you can also mark as “Favorite,” open, get the link, run, or delete, depending upon the asset and your access to it.

Running Apps

When viewing a dashboard, tap the down arrow ( The navigation icon is a down arrow in the header next to the name of the dashboard

) in the header next to the dashboard’s name to open a dropdown list and select another dashboard in the app. To refresh a dashboard and return to its default state, tap the curved arrow ( The dashboard refresh icon is in the upper right corner of the screen

Notification Tracking

Open the notifications tracking screen by tapping Notification icon (flag)

. When you set notifications in Analytics on desktop, the tiles for tracking progress appear here. Tap a tile to go directly to the dashboard that contains the notification.

Settings

Open Settings by tapping Settings gear icon

at the lower right side of the screen. The Settings screen is where you can:

Switch on Presentation Mode.
Add data to Analytics.
Change settings, send feedback, and get help, and share the Analytics App.
Log out of your org.

A Few Simple Gestures

These gestures help you quickly navigate through Analytics.

Gesture	Result
Swipe up	Scroll down lists and dashboards.
Swipe down	Scroll up lists and dashboards. Refresh lists when at the top of the list. When creating a filter, pull down to open the text entry field for the Contains option.
Swipe left	When in a paginated dashboard, flip between screens. When on the home screen, flip between asset filters. If you have permission, swiping left on an app, lens, dashboard, or dataset reveals buttons to run, pin, share, favorite, or delete, depending on the asset. While adding measures, filters, or groupings to a lens, swipe left over an applied condition to reveal a delete button.
Swipe right	When in a paginated dashboard, flip between screens. When on the home screen, flip between asset filters.
Press (for devices with 3D Touch)	On the Home screen, press the Analytics icon to open the shortcuts menu. The menu lets you share, search within Analytics, or go directly to the two most recently viewed assets. On a dashboard or lens, press lightly to peek at the asset, and press deeper to pop it open.
